Onabet cream is a topical antifungal medicine used in the treatment of fungal infection of the skin, nails and scalp. Onabet cream contains sertaconazole as its active ingredient that works by inhibiting the enzyme responsible for cell wall synthesis of fungi which stops the growth of fungus which ultimately kills fungus responsible for the infection. It should not be used in patients below 12 years of age. Do not stop applying this cream, even if you start feeling better. To eradicate the infection from the body, you need to complete the entire course of treatment. Inform your doctor if you have any other medical condition and are on medication for the same or worsen.
