Nucoxia MR tablet is an analgesic and anti-inflammatory medicine. It is used to relieve pain, swelling, and inflammatory conditions affecting the muscle or surrounding joints. Pain and fever occur when the body produces large amounts of a chemical called prostaglandin in response to an injury or infection. Inflammation occurs when chemicals are released from the tissues and cells in the body. The symptoms of inflammation include joint pain, redness, and swelling. Nucoxia MR tablet contains a combination of etoricoxib and thiocolchicoside as active ingredients. Etoricoxib belongs to a class of medicines known as NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), while thiocolchicoside acts as a muscle relaxant. Nucoxia MR tablet works by blocking the effect of the chemicals that cause pain, inflammation, and fever. It also helps to relax the contracted muscles. Take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as recommended by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food, but preferably with food to avoid stomach upset. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of its components.
