Cypon syrup is an appetite stimulant. It is used for treating loss of appetite and weight loss. This syrup contains cyproheptadine, tricholine and sorbitol. It works by inhibiting the action of the chemical substance, serotonin which acts as an appetite suppressant. Thus, increases the hunger by constantly increasing energy requirement. It promotes the desire to eat in undernourished people. Cypon syrup should not be used in children below one year of age. Always shake the bottle well before consuming.
