Alex syrup is a cough and cold preparation. It is used to provide relief from cough and other symptoms like nose blockage caused due to allergy or the common cold. It contains a combination of dextromethorphan, phenylephrine and chlorpheniramine as active ingredients. Dextromethorphan helps in suppressing cough, phenylephrine helps to provide relief from a blocked nose and chlorpheniramine stops allergic symptoms like watery eyes and runny nose. Alex syrup should be taken in the exact dose and duration as directed by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose. It can be taken with or without food. Shake the bottle well before each use.
