New O2 Oral Suspension is a combination medicine containing Ofloxacin and Metronidazole. It is used for the treatment of loose motions caused due to mixed bacterial infections. Ofloxacin works by killing the bacteria responsible for the infection. Metronidazole works by stopping the growth of certain bacteria and parasites responsible for infections. Give New O2 syrup for the prescribed duration. Always complete the entire course of tab New O2, as incomplete treatment may result in treatment failure and increase the risk of reinfection. Nausea or vomiting, headache, sleeplessness, loose motion and an upset stomach are some of the side effects of New O2 syrup. If the side effects do not go away on their own or your child's condition doesn't improve over time then inform your child’s doctor.
