It is a combination medicine containing montelukast and levocetirizine. Montek LC works by blocking the production of chemicals responsible for causing the allergy. This aids in easing breathing by reducing the inflammation of the airway. You may experience headaches, dry mouth and dizziness after taking Montek LC. However, these side effects are temporary and resolve on their own. If these side effects worsen, contact your doctor immediately. Montek LC tablets should be taken as directed by the doctor, in the correct doses and for the exact duration as prescribed. Swallow it with a glass of water, with or without food. Your doctor may advise you to take the Montek LC tablet, preferably at bedtime.
